Dr. Ohiwerei came to know the Lord in 1988. He graduated from University College Ibadan in 1961 and joined the Nigeria Breweries in April 1962. He rose to become the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of the same company. Dr. Ohiwerei chairs the Board of numerous blue chip companies in Nigeria. He holds an Honorary Doctor of Law Degree (LLD) from the University of Ibadan. He is a recipient of the Zik’s prize in Leadership award, the Order of Orange Nassau by the Queen of the Netherlands and Officer of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR) . He is one of Africa’s foremost and reputable Business Executives who declares the Lordship of Jesus in the “market place”

About us
The vision of Shalom Foundation came out of series of divine instructions and mandates given to Dr. Wole Olufon who was ably supported by his wife Dele. The vision took off on eagle’s wing when men and women of similar passion and zeal joined the gospel chariot. These men include Dr. Felix Ohiwerei, Mr. Bunmi Oni, Rev. Sam Adeyemi, Arch Deacon Segun Kuti, Arc. Bunmi Adedeji, Dr. (Mrs.) Olohigbe Adedeji, Tunji Omole, Ola Iranloye , Bolanle Iranloye (Mrs.), Wole Olufon Jnr, Yanju Olufon and Gloria Ajayi. The Pioneer Trustees of the Foundation include Dr. Wole Olufon, Mrs. Dele Olufon, Rev. Sam Adeyemi, Arch Deacon Segun Kuti, Arch. Bunmi Adedeji, Mr. Bunmi Oni and Dr. Felix Ohiwerei who is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees.
The first publication of the foundation which is a Yearly Daily Devotional “In The Secret Place” came out in January 2005. The Foundation achieved another milestone by publishing two separate titles under the “In The Secret Place” Devotional. These titles are “Bread” and Strong Meat” respectively in the years 2007-2010. From 2011 the two titles have been fused into one. Till date the Shalom Foundation family has been growing from strength to strength with the addition of new resource persons.
